Robert F. Kracyla was sworn in as the 16^th Chief of Police on June 17^th, 2024. Prior to, he served as the department's Captain. Preceding his time with the Laurel Police Department, he served as the Middletown Chief of Police, Seaford Chief of Police, Deputy Chief at the Division of Alcohol & Tobacco Enforcement and completed an extensive career with the Delaware State Police.
